SportMediaset report that Wolfsburg are now open to the idea of letting Luiz Gustavo leaving on loan (with a 15 million option to buy attached). Gustavo has opted not to renew his contract and as a result Wolfsburg are now keen to let him leave on loan with the option to buy rather than lose him for nothing in 18 months time when the Brazilian’s contract comes to an end.

He was a beast years ago, but now Wolfsburg supporter hate him. He is terrible this season. They said that gustavo failed to find motivation for himself and sometimes did silly things including lying about his father died. Well, logically wolfsburg will not easily let their player to go with any cheap money. But to let luiz gustavo go easily means that they really want to get rid of him. I say just keep with lucas leiva, luiz gustavo is much more a risk right now. Not to mention, lucas leiva suits better as a regista in our system as he has more brain and character.
Yeah, Wolfsburg is a greedy club. It’s strange if they let a GOOD player leave cheaply.

It may be a risk, but getting him through a loan with a option og 15 million is a steal in todays market. We get to try him out as a loan first to see if he can find that motivation back. If he can’t, it will be a cheap mistake.
