Cristian Chivu joined Piero Ausilio in speaking to ESPNFC on Philippe Coutinho: “He was much younger than us, but you could see immediately the quality he had. You could tell that for him it was quite difficult for him to get used to Italian football, also because of the physicality as he had trouble gaining strength. But I think that at that age it is normal. But in training he impressed me because you saw at once the qualities, the things he was capable of doing. He had problems during the games, but it was normal because there you have to deal with the pressure of the fans and the press, as well as opponents. things are completely different. but I was impressed by him and I was sure that sooner or later would become a top player.”
The retired Romanian defender added: “He did well, but people expected more. But they forget that he was only a kid and he needed time. It was hard for him during this time, but I think to part of a great Italian team was a great experience for him, they trained him for the next step. In Italy several top clubs have no patience with young players. I think that Inter have seen that he had talent Philippe but they did not have time and did not want to find him to give him an opportunity to grow normally. We always say that the Premier League is more physical in Serie A and for him there was a question mark if he was able to play in England as in Italy he had failed to do so. Liverpool have seen the talent and offered him a new contract, avoiding the error Inter did a few years ago.”

Ah, not surprising, look what is his value right now? In time young players want to play with us (especially in primavera) just because the good name of it, not because they are interista. Because yeah, it will be suck become interista when you reach your 19-23 years of something, you may be sell to others, not becoming stars at your own team

Inter director hopes Coutinho may return, regrets Liverpool sale
30 January at 17:25
Inter
director of sport Piero Ausilio claims that selling Philippe Coutinho
to Liverpool was “perhaps one of the biggest regrets of my career”.
who did it ? branca, ausilio, morattiidiot ?
inter is the same AND NOW (see gabigol case) … if chinese don’t change that domestic stupidity.
u can’t compare koavic and coutinho to gabigoal….they outperformed gabigoal at the age of 18.. gabigoal is now 20 , and he’s struggling
Gabigol is more talented than Coutinho in my opinion. He isn’t even struggling, he is just not getting game time because there are “safer” alternatives. I won’t compare him with Kovacic because the differences in players are way too big.
with all due respect, i’m not arguing anymore after knowing, u believe gabigoal is more talented than coutinho.
Fine, just watch and see. Coutinho was dragging himself through loans at Espanyol at Barbosa’s age while he was racking the goals up at Santos. I’m not taking anything away from Coutinho, wonderful player. What a huge stupid loss from Inter to ever let him go. But, I do believe that in a couple of years Barbosa can be Inter’s biggest star. Bigger than Coutinho now. Or if we repeat our stupid mistakes, someone else’s.
a shame to have let him go
Of course it was obvious, coutinho was able to shine at the age of 18 , gabigoal is 20 now and is not used to serie A at all.
He was sold due to money issues lul!He got a higher offer than Alvarez back then that’s why he left.
Yea and we got kovacic in his place, back then we were just doing stupid things, panic unplanned buyes, shitty overpriced players in and no faith in any project, the first who was stable was mancini.
Coutinho was sold in January and Kova was bought on August, the sale of Cou had nothing to do with Kovacic purchase since Kova played on Inter in a different position than Cou was.Actualy Mazzari was more stable if you consider the team he had in his hands.Kuzmanovic,Jonathan,Nagatomo(back then used to be only Naga),Schelloto,Pereira,Mundogayi,Belfodil,Felipe(not melo),Osvaldo(the locker room problem) and M’Villa the kid with the bright future who ended up floping everywhere he ended up playing!!!Compare this squad to the one Mancini ended up having!
Felipe(not melo)… I don’t even remember who he was ?!?!
what a vagon of shitty players … morattiu, moratti, you stinky mouth moron !
