Given the superb performances of Roberto Gagliardini since he arrived in January, Inter look set continue with their plan of signing the very best young Italian players.

With this in mind, the club has been working to secure the signing of talented forward Federico Bernardeschi from Fiorentina. According to Il Messaggero, the 23-year-old is virtually an Inter player already.
La Viola are reportedly willing to accept Suning’s €40 million offer, which could also open up other business opportunities with the Della Valle family.
Crucially, an agreement has already been struck with the player’s agent – Beppe Bozzo – who has concluded a number of deals with the Nerazzurri hierarchy in the past.

I don’t understand, why everybody continue to repeat that Joao Mario is trequartista! That’s not true, he was never playing before as trequartista, he doesn’t have the vision and can’t score enough to be trequartista! He’s very good midfielder, but he’s box to box midfielder!

Whatever you wanna tocall his role ,it is a just matter of words,but there is no “box to box ” in our current 4-2-3-1 formation.
He has been tried in the back two of the midfield,Gaglia and Dog spots,and it did not work well at all.
Much better up front,behind Icardi,so ..what do you wanna call that?

It is not even true at all that he never played trequartista.
Not at all.
He played exactly and only trequartista in the last game I saw him play for Portugal,versus Lichstenstein,,at the beginning of the season.
Go look at it.
He also said recently in an Italian interview that he played that role before also in Sporting Lisbona,many times.
The bottom line:
He is a versatile player that has played many roles already ,even for Portugal,depending on the formation,but he is young so he is still finding his right spot for us.
He did not have a fixed role when he came to us.
And to say that “he cannot play there because he does not score much” is limiting him.
Like saying “Galiardini never scores”..they are both 23 and they are getting better at what they are doing now ,here with us.
Persici icardi and ca,dreva they’re not enough i prefer to sell all of them and sign reus or sanchez or mertens or keita with lagazette or benzema…cuz the tridente we have are so static and not making the play…

Bernardeschi is playing as a trequartista,not as a winger,and that is the exact role where we are perfectly covered and abundant,with Banega and Mario.
We should stop splashing money in the spots we already have covered and start to:
1)Invest in the defense and 2)make sure to get only the names that can really make a serious difference for us,like Sanchez. or Verratti or a Verratti-like player
Bernardeschi is an inconsistent and fragile talent.
In Fiore the fact that he plays or not has made no difference on their record whatsoever.
Also he has already been tryied 4-5 times for Italy’s national team and was always a complete let down,total fail.
Hope he joines! With him behind Icardi and Perisic on the left and Berardi/Candreva on the right (don’t think he stand a chance signing Sanchez with no CL football and plenty of rich clubs tracking him) we´d have a super attack!
Mario and Gagardini should play in the middle and a new defense behind them!

There is no clause for Italian teams,that is true,but Italian teams have other advantages.
For example young players that are already known and wanted by Torino,PLUS lots of money.
Or the fact that the man,Belotti and his girlfriend or wife ,might feel better staying in their home country.
For many reasons.
Belotti is great but he is out of our reach especially with Chelsea interest and hefty 80-100 million euros price tag set by Torino. Alexis for 35-40 million euros would be a steal. Should be our priority including two new solid fullbacks. This scenario will surely upgrade our Inter to the next level 🙂

Actually in Moenchengladbach only the great free kick,but he never saw the ball the rest of the game and then back in Firenze.. it was a disaster,they lost 5-1 and he was horrific.
The juve game,yes, he was actually inspired and carried fiore to win against juve with two very nice plays.

Well, he doesn’t play the same position with those guys so. He is more like competing with Candreva for a spot if he comes. He is highly skilled, fast and works hard. Will definitely make the team stronger
Actually he can play as CAM, RW, LW Like Joao Mario could too. I would sell Banega and land Bernardeschi he is amazing, and i would consider selling Candreva to get Berardi, same position great player with more hunger for goal and younger. We need another Perisic kinda player on the RW

Agree with you all the way! Bernardesch plays in the middle as an attacking mid for Fiorentina and Berardi as a very mobile right winger for Sassoulo and both have played superbly this year despite the fact their clubs have been in trouble all year!
Bernardesch is the future number 10 for Italy!
Look ,I watch Italy’s games ,he has been tryied 4 or 5 times at least so far,by both Conte and Ventura.

He was such a let down so far that Ventura is in doubt if calling him again or not.

I saw him twice in full games this year,he never convinced me and he never played as a winger,always as a trequartista,Banega and Mario spot.

Berardi is more of a natural winger.

I’ve seen him play as a right winger and behind the lone forward. This season not too many times though.. But you kind of highlight the fact that he is versatile and can play many positions and that’s whats always good. He also skilled and we don’t have too much skill in this team. And I mean guys who can dribble past defenders and do the unexpected…
Banega and Mario do what he does,a little better.
And as a very offensive wing-second striker Perisic is two or three levels above.
To me he’s very different kind of player compared to Banega and J.M.
As are Banega and J.M compared one another.

Of course ,every player is different,but in the end ..you have to find them a spot in our 4-2-3-1,so we find that Mario and Banega ,so different from each other,still are competing for the same spot.
Yes I think he would compete with Candreva for the spot. And I agree that Berardi and Sanchez would be better. Sanchez is a top player but if we have a possibility to sign top italian talent, then we should take that change.
For me it’s not important who we sign as long as it benefits the team and makes us stronger.
Berardi is my no.1 choice! But any of these guys would probably make us stronger.
