Corriere dello Sport have examined Stefano Pioli‘s tenure in charge at Inter and have came to the conclusion Inter would have been in the Champions League if he was in charge all season. Under Pioli Inter have average 2.31 points a game, with such numbers at this stage they would be ahead of Roma with 64 points and would finish the season on 88 points, comfortably in the Champions League place.

WHat you interisti fail to realize is that Inter only plays once a week and if you look at your bench and how weak is it on the defensive side you must realize that with Europa league inter would have never kept up that average i mean c’mon this team can’t play twice in 1 week you just don’t have that winning mentality to endure that level of soccer that teams like Juventus and Napoli can endure !
What you fail to understand is that we had a retard as our coach before Pioli came in, someone who didn’t even manage to get us up and through our group in the EPL where we were competing against the greatest teams from Isreal, the middle of PL and what have you…
DON’T BLAME THE COACH FOR LOSING TO SHEVA BEER ! The better team clearly won – simply put just accept it !!
You are simply a clown – the same team that lost 2 to Beer (best name ever!!), kicked your sorry cheater´s asses remember?
The coach was to blame, of course, he had a couple of good results when the team had the hole board and ownership watching, otherwise he simply sucked! This is also demonstrated by the work Pioli has done since taking over!
FDB is a great coach….i wish him and Marco Branca could work together along with Vidic and Ranocchia starting for Inter because this team would be great to watch. just imagine all those losses 🙂
Yes you clearly are getting nervous seeing how well Inter is doing and are starting to wish for the fouls that once “ran” the club to return so that we won’t posses a challenge to Juve next year! But guess what; WE WILL POSSES A HUGE CHALLENGE TO JUVE NEXT YEAR AND THE YEARS TO COME!!!
oh yea i really do get nervous allright….especially when i see a team like CROTONE that is so small that only 9500 people fit in their stadium and let me put it in perspective………a high school football stadium on Alabama has a bigger capacity than that and they smoked inter 2-1 !! Way to go Inter – this team proved yet again that they can’t beat the bottom-feeders and here is the big question “if inter can’t beat a team like Crotone then WHY THE HECK DO THEY DESERVE TO PLAY IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ? “
The answer is simply; they don’t! The only teams that deserves the cl are Napoli, Roma, and Juve it is as simple as that. But next year my friend Inter” will be back”
i hear that one for over 5 years now and it’s always been the same result “YEAR ZERO”
In layman’s terms he said: “Since they perform well, I don’t have any other besides nonsense logic to troll them.”
As you said, why the fuck we need 22 of word class player when we’re not playing in champions league ??
Don’t worry, soon we will buy your Dybala…
well, the real question should “why does inter need 22 players if they do not have the tools to make champions league anyways ?”
Read the article above, duuuh….
Napoli has a winning mentality ? How does their trophy case look again? And let’s not get started on how Rube wins their league trophies.
why not talk about Juve ? they are in the top 8 in CL and if you can do that then you can easily sweep serie A
How many CL trophies is that ?
2 in the last 35 years…how many has inter had in the last 35 years ? but let’s ask a better question …… how many Champions league games has inter played in the last 5 years? let’s answer that with a big goose egg…. 0 ! and Juve ?? too many to count !!
You should try counting Serie b games.. As for how many serie b games Inter has played, let’s answer that with a big goose egg…. 0 ! and Juve ?? too many to count !!

this it what we realize and the reason rube is on top
2.31 yields ~88 points over the full 38 game season. That’s a title winning tally. Since moving to 20 teams, 38 rounds in 2004/2005 those 88 points would win the title in all but 3 seasons. In recent history the bar has been raised but still would have won 2 out of the last 4 titles (starting with last season: 91, 87, 102, then 87 points for title winner).
So I’d say we are on the right track! Keep the consistency, add some re-informcements, win some of the bigger games and we can even improve on that.

If we have had kept Mancini, i think we could challange for the scudetto
Don’t thonk so, although I love him, he wasn’t even a decent coach
last season he managed to get 4th with much less potential players than what we have this year. got out of europa league because of individaul mistakes from Carrizo.
And don’t ever forget the world record of 17 wins in a raw during his first era with Ibra, Crespo and Adriano
Show some respect man, mancini is pain in the ass, but he is better than decent coach
He was a great manager, so skilled in convincing players, but not a coach.
Agree! Great and getting the great players to come in, but to coach them Mr. Pioli is by FAR more skilled!
Lol he beat SAF in EPL race, he’s pretty good coach. Saying he is decent is understatement.
With the players he had -a beast Yaya, skilled David Silva and Nasri and Aguero at his prime- it wasn’t a miracle. Anybody could do that, Just like Pellegrini.
Same to SAF with his Utd.
He got us on top with melo. Imagine what he did IF he has gaglia, mario, and banega at his disposal
Mazzari got us EL with Jonathan, Nagatomo, Ranocchia and such being starters.
Mancini didn’t want these youngsters, not Mario and will only work with “oldies”
I should disagree with you mate. Mancini only work with oldies is assumption base only mancini request to sign yaya. Seems we forget who was nurtured young stankovic at lazio, buy back young adriano from parma, choose young cambiasso over proven davids, give very first serie A minute to young martins, young balotelli, and young gnoukori. Even young zlatan is rough material before work with mancini, and young Yaya is CB before mancini convert him to worldclass box to box midfielder. But past is past, we can only regret that such a decent coach like him is replaces by an amateur like FDB -who cirticized young player on media-
Of course it isn’t black and white – I know he has done a lot of great things with young players, but it is a fact that he requested older proven players last summer, but Suning and the club has a project about focusing on young, talented players who have the potential to be the “next big thing”
He won, what? one training game last summer? He had given up and had lost belive in the club, owners and club and would have dragged us down.
Alongside Mazzari, FdShit will go down as the shittiest coach of Inter history in post-treble era
Nah. Just remember Gasperini. 😛
At least Gasperini has some tactical awareness and coaching skills.
at least fdb got some points and got rube in his pocket. gasperini lost 4 and draw once. that’s all tell both coaching skills -at Inter-.
the history for fans will remember the points and the result. not the tactical gameplay.
For me it’s Benitez. He inherited a champion team from Mou and managed to fuck it up in just an year. Gasperini takes 2nd place.
At least that fat asshole has some tactical awareness and coaching skills as he showed in his Liverpool era.
people don’t understand how wack this Dutch fag was
Damn, we could have been 2nd (2.31 x 28 = 64.68). Two points ahead for Roma and only 6 behind Rube
Doubt he would had made this good job in all that chaos.. He came in a very forgiving time when Mancini and De Boer took the blame and De Boer started too get those players fit!
FDB got like half season to sort Mancio’s mess while Pioli did it in a mere one or two game… I think the problem is clear here, De Boer is not fit for Serie A while Pioli has got more experience in his belt.. So I am pretty sure he would have made a better job even with all those chaos
The guy was pure shit, simply put.
