Massimo Paganin spoke on Stefano Pioli on TMW Radio: “The points he’s won would mean Inter would be close to first if he came in at the start. We will see what the owners will decide, it is normal to dream a top coach but Pioli is growing a lot and was able to give an identity to the team. He also recovered a lot of important players, like Geoffrey Kondogbia. From my point of view, for a manager who has done so well, he should be given the chance to play for the Scudetto next year. Who would I appoint if Pioli leaves? You need one with personality, so someone who has already won something in the past that can affect the players. Pioli doesn’t have that, but its the way it is. Champions League? It is not over yet, though it is far away. It will be tough especially because they’re are few direct clashes coming.”

Pioli deserves to stay another season
Pioli has done a superb job – unlucky against Roma and Juve and has been great against rivals like Atalanta and Lazio! As the article says he has worked really well with the players and everyone stands forward these days telling the world that Pioli has changed everything inside the squad – players like Icardi (many times actually), D’Ambros (who BTW is part of the freaking NATIONAL team for the 1.time EVER now), and Kondogbia – Eder has also sweet talked Pioli and Ansaldi and Gagliardini too!
He deserves a full summer pre-season and a squad after his head next year to show what he´s made of!
Define “top coach”? Pioli has clearly shown that he can handle this team and if he could get a full season than I think he might have a shot at the scudetto. Its either him or we wait for simone. Can’t see anybody better than these two…
I think Pioli is a great coach, yet he has to prove himself against better teams to convince everybody that he is the right person to be in charge. If he is to stay next season with us then our goals should change, and definitely aim for scudetto. Call me a dreamer, but if it is true that Sunning is going to invest heavy in this coming transfer window plus not having any financial restrictions, then I don’t see why winning the scudetto shouldn’t be our main goal next season. Pioli should be more than ready by then, knowing his player’s attributes and having a very well defined game play.
