Gazzetta dello Sport have asked the question, “Who are the real Inter?” following the Nerazzurri going top of the table with a win over Sampdoria last night.

The Nerazzurri were 3-0 up by the hour mark but let their three goal lead slip in the final twenty minutes of play as Sampdoria pulled two back and thankfully for Inter’s sake were unable to find an extra goal to tie things up. Gazzetta view the Inter that managed to blow their opponents out of the water as one Inter – who show a similar superiority to Napoli and Juventus – but the Inter who very nearly threw things away entirely in the final twenty minutes as another.

Gazzetta have partly placed responsibility on Inter manager Luciano Spalletti for the near collapse but then recall the games with Bologna, Benevento and Crotone, where Inter looked to be struggling to keep playing at the same level right to the very end.
