The reason for the visit was to study Sampdoria’s Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira after the young player’s great performances the past seasons have given an echo which have reached the ears of Los Colchoneros manager Diego Simeone.

According to the report Atletico Madrid are eyeing Blucerchiati coach Marco Giampaolo’s prized possession and a transfer market battle may be brewing between the La Liga club and Inter who have been rumored to be very keen on the former Pescara midfielder.

Torreira joined Sampdoria ahead of the 2016/2017 season from Pescara after having spent two seasons in the Serie B for the Delfini.
