Former Portuguese international striker Nuno Gomes was interviewed by Sky Sport Italia outside of the Wyscout Forum in London and was questioned on two topics, namely Joao Mario and the Inter’s Serie A campaign.

The former Fiorentina striker started by talking about his compatriot at Inter stating that “I’m a big fan of Joao Mario, I believe that all football enthusiasts are fans of the player. He has the quality to be a number 10. Last year he played exceptionally well with Portugal, the creative play of the national team went through him. At Inter it’s a bit more difficult and to me he can do well both as a number 8 and a number 10. Technically he’s strong and shows intelligence in organizing the offense.”

In conclusion Nuno Gomes commented on the Nerazzurri’s Serie A season so far arguing that “Inter can fight for the Scudetto, they’re much more organized than in years past. However, even Napoli are very organized and I’m a huge fan of Sarri. His Napoli is putting the fight to Juventus. This season there are teams in the Serie A that are giving Juventus the scare for which in years past didn’t occur. This year Napoli is ahead of everyone, Inter is close and then there are the two Rome-based teams.”
