Italian news outlet TMW reports that Atalanta full-back, Leonardo Spinazzola, has sustained a muscle injury towrds the end of yesterday’s training session for the Italian national team, just days before the important FIFA World Cup Play’off double fixture against Sweden.

The Atalanta full-back who is currently owned by Juventus but on loan with the Bergamo club, is being given time off by Azzurri manager Giampiero Ventura as a precautionary measure to see if he will be able to recover fully from this injury ahead of the first fixture in Stockholm’s Friends Arena on Friday the 10th of November, with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.

Even if Spinazzola’s injury turned out to be serious enough to keep him out of action from the return leg at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district on Monday the 13th of November with kick off scheduled for 20.45 CET, the young full-back is epected to be fit for when Atalanta travel to Milano to face of with Inter the following Sunday.
