Eder spoke to Inter TV ahead of the Italian national teams upcoming games in the World Cup Qualifying playoffs against Sweden.

He stressed that Italy must be at next summers tournament in Russia saying “it it essential that we give ourselves the opportunity to play at the World Cup next year after having played at the Euro’s last year. We now have to face these two difficult games & as we saw at the Euro’s last year, Sweden are tough opposition.

“This time there will be no Ibrahimovic but they still have players of quality,” he continued. “We have to do well to take Italy to the World Cup. The second leg at home in the San Siro will be important for us with a stadium full of Italians to cheer us on & support us.”
