Former Inter manager Stefano Pioli discussed Inter linked Federico Chiesa’s future at current club Fiorentina.
“Chiesa renewed because he believes in the project here at Fiorentina and management believes he can be a player that they can count upon.”
Chiesa has attracted interest from not only Inter but a number of other top European clubs due to his exploits this season. The new contract which was signed last weekend ties the 20-year-old winger to the Viola through to 2022. Chiesa, the son of former Sampdoria, Fiorentina and Parma forward Enrico, has appeared in all but one of Fiorentina’s 13 league games this season and scored three and assisted just as many.
Pioli also spoke on former club Lazio who they take on this weekend and mentioned Inter while commenting on the Stadio Olimpico club.
“Lazio are a good team, but for them to get into the top four, they’ll have to fight. If they finish fifth, it’s because Juventus, Napoli, Roma and Inter are really good teams.”
Him signing a new contract it’s not exactly good news for our hopes to get him easily.
What seems to be good news is Torreira and his agent refusing to sign a new contract, that alone tells you he is definitely leaving Samp, if not in January most definitely by the end of the season.
But Chiesa signing a new contract instead makes him just a bit tougher and a bit more expensive to get.
I still like Berardi too a lot.
Particularly now that his market value probably went down.
The one young Italian I’d want us to get. But he’s too polite to leave Fiorentina right away.
But what is the Della Valle project? Sell your best players, insult them, sue other teams for nothing and fight with your own fans? Some project they got going on there in Florence.
we need to get him
he would be an amazing purchase and can take over Candreva’s spot. I like Berardi too but the injuries worry me.
