Mauro Icardi was interviewed live on Argentine television show Telefe earlier today.

His sister-in-law Zaira Nara, who was one of the hosts of the show, asked the 24-year-old on the current rumours linking him with a switch to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

“We are fine here in Italy, We [Inter] are first and I am top scorer, what more could I ask for.”

Inter’s captain then spoke on the Argentine national team and his chances of going to the World Cup next year in Russia.

“I believe that my presence in the Albiceleste is a reward for what I have done up to now in the Inter shirt. For now everything is going well, I hope I can continue this way until the end of the season to have a chance to go to Russia.”

Icardi has been ever present in Luciano Spalletti’s side this season and tops Serie A scoring charts with 16 goals in 15 games.
