Lazio’s Stefan De Vrij is getting closer and closer to being an Inter player according to a report in the Gazzetta dello Sport. The 25-year old former Feyenoord player has decided not to renew his deal with Lazio and will  decide over the following days what his next team will be, given that he is able to sign for any team on a free transfer from February 1st.

With Juventus waiting for Atalanta’s Caldara to arrive in the summer, Inter is currently in pole position to sign the Dutch player accordin to the report which states that “the nerazzurri have the defender within their reach for June, thanks to a project that started a long time ago (one year ago) with Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio and that has continued with Ausilio and Walter Sabatini working side-by-side. There is an agreement which reads: A five-year contract, €3.5 million per season plus a number of bonuses that are easy to achieve. Now Inter wants a fast ok from Suning in order to remove any doubts from the player who is at the same time being courted by Manchester United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.”
