Despite being in contact with Gerard Deulofeu’s representatives and his club Barcelona over a transfer, he is currently not Inter’s priority.

According to FCInterNews.it, long term target Javier Pastore is in fact the Nerazzuri’s priority as the winter transfer window approaches. Inter manager Luciano Spalletti wants a trequartista above all and Pastore meets that requirement. Inter are waiting on the opportunity to meet with the Argentine international’s representatives.

Meanwhile, a meeting is likely to take place early on in January between Pastore’s people and his club Paris Saint Germain to decide what the future holds for him.

Pastore has publicly declared an interest in changing clubs and has welcomed Inter’s interest but a move is difficult. Inter are limited by Financial Fair Play and can not afford to buy him outright whereas Paris Saint Germain have their own Financial Fair Play problems to contend with which in turn means they can not simply let someone of Pastore’s ability leave without a substantial fee.
