Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has decided that Gerard Deulofeu is the man he wants to help re-design his attack this January mercato Tuttosport suggest.

The Spaniard’s potential move largely depends on former Inter starlet Philippe Coutinho completing a transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona which will ultimately force Deulofeu out of the Nou Camp.

Deulofeu is most reminiscent of what Mo Salah was for Spalletti at Roma with him being lighting quick and a fine dribbler. His arrival would ease the pressure on wingers Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva.

Napoli are also interested in Deulofeu but Inter represents a better option for his personal ambition of making Spain’s world cup squad. Joining Napoli would mean he has a tough task at hand due to the fact he would have to try and force his way in to Maurizio Sarri’s front three that very very very rarely changes.

For the time being, Barcelona do not want to loan the 23-year-old but Inter are aware that this deal will take time and they are hopeful of acquiring him by the last week of the mercato.
