Having finalised the deal to bring Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, (Barcelona accepted Inter’s last offer of a loan with a right of redemption for 35 million plus 3m in bonus) Inter continue to find players to strengthen Luciano Spalletti’s squad to ensure the coach has a variety of options, and avoid the physical and mental dip experienced in December. Ausilio and Sabatini are still working on a deal for Liverpool’s English striker, Daniel Sturridge. The forward has already said ‘yes’ to the economic conditions of the Nerazzurri . Now an agreement with Liverpool has to be finalised. The obstacle at the moment is the price of the redemption right that the Reds would like, Di Marzio reports suggest the English club are looking for 40 million. Inter believe this valuation is too high and are prepared to offer up to 20/25 million, also given the age of the player, his injury record and his contract is expiring in a year and a half. Roma are also reportedly interested in the former Chelsea striker as Edin Dzeko is currently strongly linked with a move to Chelsea.

If its only loan with option to buy, who cares with the redemption price, just take it and never activate the option clause then, simple
That’s one way of doing it, but I guess if he really performs we would like to buy him and then the fee matters.. Also if we get the reputation that we do business like that, other clubs will never agree to initial loan with options again, which would be bad for us.
At this moment just focus on squad depth, thats the only matter right now to get us to UCL. The option to buy matter if he performs well and we qualify to UCL, if we dont qualify to UCL dont ever think to buy him whatever his price..
I still think we always need to think long term. Sure, we have to do everything we can to get Cl next season. But what if we fail? We still need players and clubs willing to negotiate with us knowing that we are trustworthy.
Agreed cant be short sighted here. Should try to bring down his redemption fee as think Liverpool being a bit ridiculous post Coutinho particularly given his age, limited contract length and the fact that he isn’t even first choice off the bench. 20-25mn probably the right figure that could make sense for both parties.
Definitely an upgrade on Eder, who I think we should definitely look to move this transfer window if possible as he just isn’t Inter material.
Loan with option to buy mean when the loan period is over we have option to buy or not to buy. We are not obligated to buy the player. So if we choose not to buy the player we still considered trustworthy.
But if its Loan with obligation to buy, then we must buy the player after the loan period is over. If we dont buy the player, we can be consider as untrustworthy club
Who cares about Sturridge over payd rubbish pommy player booooohh stay away from inter please
He’s not bad in terms of quality..just he doesn’t keep fit hence never in form but if somehow he manages to stay fit then I can assure you he will be a better option off the bench than eder.
If and only if, he is like the original Ronaldo in terms of injury
