Kwadwo Asamoah has been officially presented as an Inter player and has already admitted to feeling at home and has set his sights on achieving success with the club.
“I am here to work, learn and do important things and even though I only started working with my new teammates yesterday I feel at home and I am happy to to be here,” Asamoah said.
He proceeded to discuss his decision to leave Juventus after six seasons and how he was convinced to join Inter.
“There was the chance to remain at Juventus but I chose this shirt along with my family. I’m happy to have this new experience and do important things. My decision to leave Juventus was difficult but the directors and the coach Luciano Spalletti convinced me. They convinced me by talking about the project and the goal of wanting to do better than last season, so I am happy to be here.”
Asamoah was then asked where he thinks he will be utilised in Spalletti’s tactical systems.
“I played in midfield at Udinese, but I played almost every game on the left at Juventus. It depends on the coach, if he makes me play on the wing or in the middle I am ready to give everything.”
The Ghanaian also spoke on the prospect of facing Cristiano Ronaldo next season with transfer rumours suggesting the multi-time world player of the year is headed for Juventus.
“I am not even thinking about it, I am here to play, work and help my team. I am not thinking about playing against any player or any team. To do well you can not just think about a player or an opponent, you have to consider everyone.”
