Antonio Candreva is not convinced by the prospect of swapping Inter for Monaco as the Nerazzurri continue their pursuit of forward Keita Balde, according to Sky Sport.
Candreva failed to score a single goal for Luciano Spaletti’s side last season and is one of the players the club would be keen to move on before the end of the transfer window, leading to the idea of a loan swap deal that would see the Italian and his former Lazio team-mate Keita switch clubs.
Despite this, the TV station have reported on Tuesday that the 31 year-old does not want to leave Inter this summer as he is excited by the club’s recruitment campaign ahead of the new season, which has seen sporting director Piero Ausilio secure six first-team signings without sacrificing any of the Nerazzurri’s key players.
It is currently unclear whether this would bring a halt to negotiations between the two clubs or whether Inter and Monaco could finalise the deal for Keita regardless, as the French club had initially identified Candreva as the ideal replacement for the outgoing 23 year-old.
