Luciano Spalletti had a few words to say to Sky Sport Italia about some of the new acquisitions, the expectations from the team, and how happy he is with how things are going.
Spalletti began by talking about the new signings: “We have signed some important players, I am very excited to start the season and see how well the new players have integrated and adapted, they are all very excited and willing to learn. I see no reason for us to not be able to build a strong team and give our fans a proper show.”
What is most important thing you expect from the team?
“I want the players to know exactly what they need to do as soon as they step foot onto the pitch. I want the team to show a strong mentality.”
Do you want to be protagonists?
“Yes, we are preparing well and all the new players are showing willingness to adapt and be available for what I ask of them. The overall level of the league has grown a lot. There have been very important arrivals like that of Carlo Ancelotti, now important players want to play in Italy. Even the season tickets have been sold out. This is exactly the road we wanted to be on.”
Is Lautaro Martinez ready?
“Lautaro is strong, physical, and he always gives his all. He is very offensive-minded and will always trouble the opponent’s central defenders. He will have chances to share the pitch with Icardi.”
