After the dramatic 2-1 win in opening group stage match of the Champions League against Premier League outfit Tottenham at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, Inter’s Slovakian international defender stopped by Sky Sport Italia to share his thoughts on the match.

The former Sampdoria man was visibly happy and proud of what he and his teammates had achieved stating that: “If you ask me we gave everything we had, even those who did not play a minute gave so much. We are a very strong team.”

Skriniar was then asked about his own performance to which he replied: “Getting a yellow card after only 20 minutes made everything a bit more complicated, the coach told me before the match that I had to play as a full-back and I have no problem with that. In my opinion I did not play a very good match but what is important is that we won.”

“We have made some mistakes in the early stages of the Serie A but this win puts everything back into place” Skriniar concluded.
