Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport dedicated some space in today’s paper to comment on Inter’s continuous success in both the Serie A and the Champions League.

“The third consecutive victory in the Serie A, and the fourth consecutive overall considering the win against Tottenham in the Champions League. This winning streak has allowed Inter to catch up and are now only two points away from second place Napoli” the Corriere reports.

“Against Cagliari, it was relatively easy for Spalletti’s men. It now seems that the terrible start to the season in which Inter collected 4 points in 4 games is now in the past, especially now that the number of different goal scorers for Inter has risen to 10 so far this season.

“Lautaro Martinez really shined against Cagliari, showing why Inter were so adamant on bringing him in during the Summer. Il Toro opened the scoring during the first few minutes of the game and sent a message to the fans: when Icardi needs to rest, there is another top quality player ready to take his place. We must also appreciate the quality that Politano has shown during the game, he played very well and scored a great goal” the newspaper concludes.
