Training at Inter’s training ground in Appiano Gentile will resume tomorrow, and Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports in today’s paper how Inter will use this time to prepare.

According to the report: “Vrsaljko has been excused by Zlatko Dalic from the Croatian national team. He will stay at Pinetina in order to avoid added stress on his knee. Inter are also confident that Marcelo Brozovic will also be exempted as he aims to recover from his minor injury. Danilo D’Ambrosio is also not going along with Roberto Mancini’s national team.”

The number of absences from Inter is dropping from 13 to 10, which should provide Luciano Spalletti a sigh of relief in view of the upcoming derby against AC Milan. Inter will face Milan at the San Siro on the 21st of October, and the more rested and prepared the team is, the better the chances of having a good performance.

Spalletti will continue to work with the players that have not been called up for international duty in preparation of the big game.
