Borja Valero reflected upon Inter’s 2-0 defeat against Barcelona in the Champions League in an interview with Inter TV and believes that Inter improved in the second half.

“We are calm. We knew that the tonight’s match would be difficult. They were clearly better than us, but we should have done more with some of our attacking chances. They pressed very high during the first half, stopping us from passing the ball well and exploiting space, therefore, we were not able to threaten. In contrast, I think we did better from this point of view in the second half.”

The veteran Spanish midfielder then spoke on the current state of the group with Inter remaining in second place despite their loss at the Camp Nou.

“We did what we had to do during our last two matches in the Champions League against Tottenham and PSV, therefore, the group situation is still positive despite the defeat.”
