The decision whether or not to play tonight’s Serie A clash at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico when Lazio host Inter, has been up for debate all day due to sever weather conditions.

However moments ago Italian broadcaster SportMediaset report that according to local radio station Radiosei the game has been given the green light to go ahead. According to the report both teams have been informed that they can proceed to play the match that is scheduled to start at 20.30 CET.

This decision was made by Rome’s Prefect despite the advice and recommendation of the Civil Protection Services in Rome to postpone the match due to the weather conditions. The Prefect has decided that the weather conditions are not so severe as to warrant an immediate danger for the public and therefore there is no need to postpone the match, even though the latest reports state that the weather conditions will deteriorate the closer we get to kick-off.
