The wife and agent of Inter captain Mauro Icardi, Wanda Nara Icardi, was a guest on Italian TV show Tiki Taka where she spoke about everything concerning her husband, starting with the match against Sassuolo.
“Yesterday [Saturday] they didn’t feed him many balls, but he is used to it. He is the captain, it is normal that you expect a lot from him. I don’t think the team is doing badly because he isn’t renewing. Mauro is very cool. In the derby, in the penalty area, with the national team jersey.”
“Mauro never asked for anything. I have not asked for a renewal or an increase or touch up in this awkward situation, when they call me I’ll sit down and talk. I can’t always be in the wrong.”
“Everyone has the agent they deserve. Mauro and I are both transparent. There are many agents that are worse than I am, that treat clubs badly. As Icardi’s agent I have no need to call them but I go when called on. Surely we will meet but then we will see if the contracts are signed.”
Wanda was then asked if this meeting could take place this coming week to which she replied: “We hope so yes, I am calm, the right signals are there. For me, we will do it 100% but we are not talking about a club that is dependent on his renewal.”
In conclusion Wanda spoke about the children that were invited by Inter to watch the Sassuolo clash to which she replied: “My children were also among the children in the stands yesterday [Saturday]. A magnificent initiative by Inter.”
