Inter’s transfer activities are in the news once more and it isn’t just about Cedric Soares, Inter are also looking to bolster their defense even further.

Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport have already confirmed that Diego Godin completed his Inter medicals, but they have also added a little twist: Inter are in contact with Cristian Zapata, who has an expiring contract with Milan.

“The 32 year old Colombian was not Gattuso’s first choice, but since November he became a starter and has put together a good first half of the season and is being offered a contract extension at Milan thanks to his positive performances, but here comes Inter to make matters complicated.”

“Zapata’s agent is Ivan Cordoba, and thanks to his relationship with Inter, they are trying to convince the defender to go to the blue side of Milan. The player is currently making €1.7 million and could be tempted by a two year contract with an option for a third year. Given the probably departures of Miranda and Ranocchia, Zapata would be the fourth choice behind Skriniar, De Vrij, and Godin.”
