According to Marco Barzaghi whom amongst other things writes editorials for Fcinternews.it, Wesley Sneijder’s delayed response to Galatasaray is due to the fact that the Dutchman wants to receive a golden handshake from Inter in order to agree to terminate his contract with the club. This is what Julio César was offered in the summer in order to accept a transfer to QPR, but according to Barzaghi, Sneijder is asing for a rather hefty sum. Inter, however don’t seem to entertain the idea of paying out a lump sum of money to the Dutchman so the stalemate continues.
