Unai Emery would like to reunite with Monchi, from their days establishing Sevilla as a Europa League powerhouse, with the aim to go even further with Arsenal, considering the difference in resources.

According to Corriere dello Sport, this scenario is extremely likely and only the details remain to be defined, since the Spaniard has a release clause, there is not much stopping Arsenal should they agree with this plan. Meaning that Roma will have two options to consider.

Firstly, they could promote from within. Ricky Massara and Federico Balzaretti would be the two most logical candidates.

Alternatively, Roma are also very interested in Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio’s future. Since the arrival of Beppe Marotta at Inter, a big shift in the structure seems to be taking place and Ausilio is seemingly the next on the chopping block.

Lele Oriali and Riccardo Pecini have already been dubbed as potential replacements at Inter, making Ausilio a viable option for Roma.

Beyond this there are the likes of Massimo Mirabelli and Daniele Faggiano who are regarded as strong profiles.
