Empoli defneder Giovanni Di Lorenzo has welcomed the alleged interest in his services but insists that for the time being he is focused on helping the Azzurri avoid the drop to Serie B.
“I’m happy with these rumours, but first there is a league season that needs to be finished and we need to do it well. We have to give everything [to survive] and then we will see what happens,” he told Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.
As per various reports Inter have a keen interest in signing the 25-year-old and they are understood to have scouted him on a number of occasions.
“I am proud that some great teams are interested in me but for now I just want to give everything here.”
This season Di Lorenzo has made 34 appearances across all competitions for Empoli. In just over 3000 minutes on the park, he has scored three goals and tallied two assists.
