Inter’s former striker Giampaolo Pazzini believes the Nerazzurri can challenge Juventus for the Serie A title this season.
Antonio Conte is putting his new players through their paces this week at a grueling training camp in Switzerland.
Pazzini scored 19 goals in 60 appearances for Inter and talked up their Scudetto chances on Thursday.
“For me Inter could do well this season,” Pazzini told Sky Sport.
“I think they can cause Juventus problems right to the end of the season. The Bianconeri are still ahead in terms of their mentality, though.”
Inter will play their first preseason friendly against Lugano on Sunday, before flying out to Asia for a lucrative summer tour.
Juventus will be one of their opponents out there in the International Champions Cup, but the Nerazzurri are also due to face Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Conte’s side will also face Tottenham and Valencia before the 2019-20 Serie A campaign starts on 24 August.
