Romelu Lukaku could again be left out of Manchester United’s squad when the Red Devils play Inter on Saturday, according to La Repubblica.

The striker officially missed Wednesday’s victory against Leeds because he had picked up a knock in training, but reports in England later assured it was a sign of his impending departure.

Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio will arrive in Asia after the friendly match in Singapore and it could be then that talks reach a decisive stage.

Inter will then fly to Suning’s headquarters in Nanjing to play Juventus on 24 July, and Antonio Conte could take the opportunity to meet Zhang Jindong for a second time.

Conte first met Zhang last month when he travelled with Inter’s management to Madrid for the UEFA Champions League Final.

The former Juventus and Chelsea boss is thought to be impatient as Inter continue talks for Lukaku, and the paper suggested he could discuss a deal for the striker with Suning’s owner.

Inter will then play Paris Saint-Germain in Macau before returning to Milan on 28 July.
