Noted football agent Dario Canovi believes that Inter were ‘forced’ into dealing troubled striker Mauro Icardi on transfer deadline day a week ago.

The 26-year-old Argentine was loaned out to French powerhouses Paris Saint Germain on a season long loan deal with an option to buy.

The move signalled an end – or at least a temporary stop – to the long running saga of the striker, who had been told earlier in the Summer that he was not deemed as part of the Inter project by the club leadership after months of controversy.

“Icardi’s move to Paris Saint Germain was one of the biggest deals of the Summer. I think that Inter was forced to act the way they did,” he remarked in an interview with Tutto Mercato Web.

“They were forced by the absolute madness that is Wanda Nara’s behaviour. What Wanda Nara did is the opposite of what an agent should be doing.”
