Matteo Politano’s condition is to be evaluated ahead of this weekend’s match at home to Hellas Verona according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The winger injured his ankle soon after coming on as a substitute in last night’s 3-2 defeat away to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League and as per other reports left the stadium on crutches.

It remains to be seen whether Politano will be able to recover in time for the match but one will who will recover is Kwadwo Asamoah, who has been dealing with a knee problem, brought on by playing so many games in quick succession.

The report goes on to state that Danilo D’Ambrosio will not be risked for the match at home to the Gialloblu. D’Ambrosio broke a toe whilst away on international duty and Antonio Conte does not wish to rush him back which could see him re-break it.

Roberto Gagliardini will meanwhile rest for a few days and at best could make the bench for Saturday evening’s encounter.
