Inter are set to complete the signing of young striker Martin Satriano from Uruguayan Primera Division club Nacional according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
The 18-year-old, who can also play in the second striker role, will initially find himself playing for Inter’s Primavera but he will have the chance to impress Inter manager Antonio Conte in training.
Inter had looked set to welcome Olivier Giroud from Chelsea to bolster the team’s attacking department this month but the Nerazzurri stopped their pursuit when it became apparent just how costly a deal for the 33-year-old would work out.
Between the fee, agent commissions and the French international’s salary, the deal would have cost Inter about €23/24 million.
The report from the Turin newspaper goes on to state that Inter manager Conte will therefore have to settle for what he has got in the attack meaning he has Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, Alexis Sanchez and Sebastiano Esposito to count on.
