Inter will face Getafe in a one off knockout tie for a place in the Europa League quarter finals at the start of August according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Due to the Coronavirus crisis, the format of the Europa League, as well as the Champions League, has had to be changed and all games will be one off matches opposed to two legged ties.
Inter will face Getafe on August 6, the same day that Roma will play Sevilla. The quarter finals will take place between August 10 and 11, the semi finals will take place between August 16 and 17 and the Europa League final will be played on August 21.
All of the remaining Europa League matches are to be played across four cities in Germany in Frankfurt, Duisburg, Gelsenkirchen and Cologne.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that the UEFA Super Cup will be played on September 24 in Budapest.
