Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg are interested in signing Inter midfielder Matias Vecino, but the cost of the deal may scare them away, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the Russian club are interested in the 29-year-old Uruguayan midfielder, who didn’t particularly convince coach Antonio Conte with his performances last season.
The Milanese club were looking to sell Vecino in the January transfer window and Tottenham were interested, but a deal never materialised.
Other Inter players are also on the transfer list, the report continues, with Danish midfield Christian Eriksen being one of them.
The 28-year-old struggled to convince Conte in his first half-season in Milan and the Milanese side would be happy to sell the player for no less than €35 million.
Inter are looking for new homes for Andrea Ranocchia, Antonio Candreva, Joao Mario, Georgios Vagiannidis, Lucien Agoume and Sebastiano Esposito, whilst a deal is being finalised that will see Diego Godin join Cagliari.
Radja Nainggolan is currently part of the Inter squad and is working hard to convince Conte in training.
