Radja Nainggolan is no longer on the fringes of the Inter project according to a report from Italian news agency ANSA.

The Belgian was judged as being out of the club’s project in the Summer of 2019 and he was subsequently sent out on loan to Cagliari.

Things have changed for the former Roma player since his return to Inter at the start of this month after his loan with Cagliari came to an end and he is no longer on the sidelines.

Nainggolan has been strongly linked with returning to Cagliari but his changed status in the Inter project means it will be harder for Cagliari to sign him as Inter can now have a stronger stance in negotiations over him.

The 32-year-old joined Inter back in 2018 and has since made 37 appearances across all competitions for the club. In his time on the park he has scored seven goals and provided three assists.
