Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumaré has refused an offer from Napoli and decided not to explore the idea of joining Inter, according to a report from French media outlet L’Equipe earlier today.

The report details how the 21-year-old French midfielder received offers from both Napoli and Inter on Friday, but has decided not to join either club.

The player is currently in advanced negotiations with fellow Italian side AC Milan, but now seems more likely to stay with Lille where he hopes to win a trophy and look to join a big club next summer.

Contracted to Lille until 2022, Soumaré made 30 appearances across all competitions last season for the French side, for a total of 2082 minutes. In that time, he provided one assist and helped the side keep six clean sheets.

Inter are now working on selling Radja Nainggolan to Cagliari and potentially looking to sign Marcos Alonso on loan from Chelsea should the Blues open up to the idea.
