Milan Skriniar is one of nine Slovakian national team representatives who have had to enter into a mandatory 10 day quarantine period after testing positive for COVID-19, the Slovakian football association have confirmed via an official statement through their official website.

With Skriniar having entered into quarantine for the next 10 days, it means he will be unavailable for Inter for this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan and he will also miss Inter’s opening Champions League group stage encounter with Borussia Monchengladbach.

The central defender is one of six Inter players who are currently positive for COVID-19 with the other five players being Alessandro Bastoni, Ionut Andrei Radu, Radja Nainggolan, Ashley Young and Roberto Gagliardini.

This season Skriniar has appeared in two of Inter’s three games to date but he has failed to make any goal contributions during his time on the field thus far. Since joining Inter in 2017, he has four goals and four assists in 130 appearances.
