A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has suggested that Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella will be the key man for the Nerazzurri in their league clash against Atalanta this afternoon.

The report details how the 23-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2024, has been one of the best players under coach Antonio Conte this season, being one of the strongest Italian players in general currently.

The former Cagliari man has been noted for his tireless work rate, incredibly strong passing and vital ball winning skills, with Conte often deploying him as a trequartista who is not afraid to drop deep.

His technique is key for Inter, and Conte will be hoping that the player can continue to provide decisive assists for his teammates against Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta today.

Barella has provided four assists so far this season, including one in each of the last three consecutive games.
