Inter president Steven Zhang will return to Milan next month, according to a report in the Italian media.
As per CalcioMercato.com, Zhang should be back in Milan in the early stage of April for the final stretch of the 2020-21 Serie A season, one that will hopefully end with Inter being crowned champions of Italy for the first time in 11 years.
In the event that Inter do win the title, Suning want their name to be associated with the Nerazzurri in an unmistakable way and therefore Zhang’s presence in Milan is essential for this.
But in addition to this, there are several issues that need to be clarified with the club’s management regarding the corporate situation of the club.
Zhang, who was the youngest president in Inter history when appointed a few years ago, must clarify the situation regarding Inter’s unpaid salaries and outstanding transfer instalments, such as the money owed to Real Madrid for Achraf Hakimi.
He will also inevitably continue to work on Inter’s search for investment, which could see the club either sold or joined by a minority shareholder to inject fresh capital.
