Inter could have a radical change of policy regarding their new stadium plans if the Nerazzurri change owners, according to an Italian media report today.
As per Tuttosport’s print edition, should Inter change hands, it could lead to the two clubs going their separate ways when it comes to building a new stadium.
In their statement yesterday which hit back at Milan mayor Giuseppe Sala for comments they believed were ‘disrespectful’ and ‘offensive’, Inter threatened they could make ‘consequent decisions’ if Sala’s current administration didn’t appreciate them.
As per the Turin-based publication, this could mean Inter looking to build a new stadium in the Sesto San Giovanni area of the city.
Inter and AC Milan have been working on a new stadium project for well over a year now, but Milan mayor Sala yesterday stated that things were at a standstill due to the uncertainty surrounding Inter’s ownership situation.
Various other reports in the media have stated that Suning have no intention of giving up on the stadium project.
