Antonio Conte wants to stay at Inter and one of his players has provided the proof, according to a leading Italian broadcaster today.

Sport Mediaset (via FcInter1908.it) said Arturo Vidal had dropped a hint about Conte’s intentions during one of his recent live streams on social media.

Vidal was asked whether he (Vidal) would remain at Inter and the midfielder responded by saying that he intended to try and win the UEFA Champions League next season.

This, according to the report, is a clue that Conte wants to begin a cycle with Inter and is aiming to make progress in Europe.

Inter’s owners Suning will soon turn their attentions to Conte’s future once they have sorted the financing deal they need for the club.

Oaktree Capital Management are expected to deliver the investment needed to help Inter meet their various payment obligations, such as player salaries and transfer installments.

Steven Zhang is due to meet Conte to discuss his future at the club in the next few days, potentially before Sunday’s final game of the season against Udinese.
