Inter will announce Simone Inzaghi as their new head coach by Thursday at the latest, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition confirmed Inzaghi had already signed his two-year deal with the Nerazzurri, which will see him earn €3.5 million plus bonuses after tax each season.

Inzaghi is under contract with Lazio until June 30, but Inter will be able to announce him anyway because a new rule is about to be introduced which allows preliminary agreements for coaches whose deals are about to expire.

This will allow Inzaghi to start working for Inter now without having to wait until next month, when he will formally leave the Biancocelesti.

Inter do not need approval from Claudio Lotito to announce Inzaghi for this reason, so Inzaghi should reach Milan on Thursday or Friday to start his adventure at the club.

Inzaghi will bring his assistant Massimiliano Farris with him, along with fitness coach Fabio Ripert, technical coaches Mario Cecchi and Riccardo Rocchini, goalkeeping coach Gianluca Zappala (who will work with Adriano Bonaiuti) and match analyst Ferruccio Cerasaro.
