In an interview with the magazine Le Buteur Ishak Belfodil talked about his first time at Inter. A hard training camp, not least because of Ramadan. Now he wants to get going again, both with Inter and the national team.
How important is it to work with a coach like Mazzarri, who know how to deal with young people?
“Mazzarri is a great coach, he knows that I’m young and that I have just arrived at Inter. He told me to mainly develop my physique.”
It’s been a month and a half since you came to Inter. How does it feel?
“From the first day, my teammates made me feel at home, it was like that for me and also for the other newcomers. Initially, not least because of Ramadan, my form was not on top, but now I feel very well. At training camp we worked hard and now I’m working hard in training to win a spot in the starting eleven. We must not forget that we are at the start of the season and nothing is decided yet.”
Are you talking about even the Algerian national team with your teammates Inter?
“Not so much, but they know I’m an international, like Taïder, even he chose Inter. They know that we are a young team that is made up of good players.”
Vahid, the coach, is concerned because the attackers don’t get to play in their clubs…
“It’s normal to be worried about it because it is right, but even so, our preparations will allow us to play and do well.”
