Ashley Young looks set to turn down Inter’s offer for a one-year contract extension, with several Premier League clubs interested in acquiring the Englishman’s services as his contract runs out.

This according to the program Calciomercato l’Originale on Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who claim the Aston Villa have joined Watford and Burnley in chasing his signature.

Young’s contract is set to expire on June 30, though the Nerazzurri are known to have offered him a one-year extension that would keep him at the club until next summer.

Young is considering his future and at one point it was reported that his intention was to renew his contract for one more year at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Incoming Inter manager Simone Inzaghi is thought to be an admirer of the 35-year-old and considers him to be a potentially useful squad member.

However, English clubs also want the Inter man, with the fact that he can soon be signed without a transfer fee adding to the appeal of signing a player with Young’s quality and Premier League experience.
