Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi is close to agreeing personal terms with Chelsea, according to reports.

This from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com, who claim that the Moroccan and his entourage have been negotiating with the London club and are close to coming to an agreement.

Chelsea are stepping up their pursuit of the 22-year-old as they hope to close on a deal for the player, with the Blues thought to be jumping ahead of rivals Paris Saint-Germain in the chase for his signature.

Chelsea are inching closer to agreement with Inter over the sale of the player, with an improved offer from the rejected initial €60 million bid thought to be on the way, possibly involving Marcos Alonso going the other way.

Previously it was thought that the French capital was the preferred destination of the player and that the contract agreement between the player and PSG was an advantage for the French club.

However, should Chelsea also come to an agreement with the Moroccan then they will only have to persuade Inter to accept an offer in order to beat PSG to the Nerazzurri man.
