Inter are set to enter contract extension talks with three of their most important players very soon to try and retain the core of the Scudetto winning squad, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera, the most difficult negotiations are likely to be had with Marcelo Brozovic as he would like a considerable increase on his current wage.

At the moment the Croatian midfielder earns €4 million a season from Inter but other less important players earn more than him. Crucially, his contract runs out in just one year so Inter needs to agree on a new deal, sell him this summer, or allow him to leave for free next summer.

Lautaro Martinez could also be tricky as the club have not totally committed to not selling the Argentine this summer. His deal runs out in 2023.

The club also wants to secure the future of Nicolo Barella as soon as possible.
