Inter have accelerated their pursuit of Monaco striker Keita Balde, and are in talks with the French club for the 26-year-old.

This according to Foot Mercato journalist Sebastien Denis, who reported in a Tweet that the player wants to leave to join Inter and that progress could be made on a potential deal for his transfer shortly.

The Nerazzurri are considering the signing of an attacking player to strengthen to options available to head coach Simone Inzaghi in forward positions, and Balde’s name is high on the club’s list.

In addition to having already spent one season on loan with the Nerazzurri, during the 2018-19 campaign, the Senegalese striker has also worked successfully with Inzaghi in the past when the pair were at Lazio together.

Inzaghi would like to reunite with the striker, and it now looks as though the Nerazzurri could be stepping up their efforts to make this a reality.

Denis’s tweet reads: ”

Info: For Keita Baldé, it’s very hot with Inter Milan for a final transfer. The AS Monaco player absolutely wants to go. The Lombard club and Simone Inzaghi, who appreciates him and has already coached him, want to get him back. It could quickly accelerate. @Santi_J_FM
