Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is all ready to sign his contract extension with the club, and will soon put pen to paper on his new deal.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that a verbal agreement has been reached between the 24-year-old and the club after a brief meeting with his agent yesterday.

The Nerazzurri have made securing Martinez’s future a priority in the last weeks, with the club wanting to make sure that he does not depart after having already lost the likes of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku over the summer.

The striker’s current deal runs until the end of June 2023, and the club have successfully convinced him on a new contract that will take him until the summer of 2026 and ward of the interest of top European clubs.

The Argentine is set to earn a net of €6 million plus an additional €500,000 in add-ons on his new contract.
